Native Trees in the Northlands

Learn about our Northwoods neighbors. Planting and caring for native trees benefits our wildlife, pollinators, soil, and water. If you are planning to plant trees this spring, this is a great chance to get information on selecting the right tree for the right location. You can also learn how to take care of the trees you already have, helping them grow, and watching out sts and diseases. We will profile several unique northern Minnesota trees, and find solutions for tough sites, from swamps, to river banks, to your front lawn.
